On route to Wellington with a couple of stops along the
way. The first being Huka falls – 200,000
litres of water plunge 9 metres over the great rock face of the Huka fall every
second – enough to fill 5 Olympic pools every minute – impressive!!!!! We then made
a quick stop at a Military museum – Kade was thrilled. There were real tanks
and the boys loved climbing all over them.

We stayed in a hotel in Wellington that was up from the water and had a great view. It felt like we were in a European city with all the buildings on the side of the hills. We caught the Interislander ferry to Picton early the next morning. It was a little cool (not -29 though!). The landscape was amazing – fjords coming into Picton were spectacular!

It was a windy ride - check out Kade's hair! That is what our ferry looked like. |

The beach in Greymouth - it was actually really wavy. |
Heading out tomorrow to see a glacier – really looking forward to that.

Thomas was excited to see Kade wearing the bear t shirt! It looks so beautiful - we just watched the Hobbit - and we were all jealous that you are where it was filmed! Gorgeous!
