We also visited the sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud on our first day. It was quite an experience. This is an ecological reserve created to preserve the Balinese Long-Tailed Macaques. They were everywhere and did not seem to be bothered by our presence. Over 600 monkeys live within this reserve.
