Well here it is our blog for our 2014 adventure - the adventure down under in Australia. We, Sean, Krystin, Matthew and Kade Rennie, are heading to Australia for a year. The adventure starts before we actually get to where we will live. We are heading to New Zealand on Christmas day for a little family vacation then off to the east coast of Australia before settling in Falcon in Western Australia. We will be about an hour south of Perth on the Indian Ocean. So stay tuned as we plan to post often to keep our family and friends up to date on our adventure.

Canada Day Down Under

Well we are half way through our adventure and it is Canada Day.  We had a great weekend celebrating Canada's 147th Birthday in Australia.  Friday night we were in Perth celebrating with a group of Canadians that live in Perth - it is a club that Deb Tomilson, a friend of Sean's from high school, is part of.  We enjoyed Caesars and Nanaimo Bars and then headed to downtown Perth for a tour of the entertainment district - a fun night.  Then on Sunday we hung out with the other Canadian Families that are in Western Australia on exchange.  It started with a picnic in the park with lots of Canadian themed food followed by a full on hockey game (one of the Australians that joined us brought real hockey sticks - she brought them home from Canada when she was on exchange).  We then finished the day with a good old surfing session - we had to add a little Australia into the day!!!!
