So it was a Sunday August 17th and we had no plans but it felt weird hanging around the house on such a nice day. So we jumped in the car with no particular destination in mind and headed north then east and ended up in Dwellingup. This is a great mountain biking area so we figured out where the best trails were for our next visit and ended up going for a hike to check out the Marrinup Falls and Prisoners of War (POW) camp.

This POW camp was established during WW II to house prisoners of war captured by the British. It opened in 1943 and held Italians and Germans. Their job was to collect firewood for the Perth Metropolitan area as well as help local farmers.
